This policy explains which cookies Lighthouse Intelligence (operated by Louder Online Pty Ltd, Australia) uses on lighthousedata.io, why we use them, and how you can control them.

We use two categories of cookies: Essential cookies that are required for the platform to function, and Analytics cookies that help us understand how the platform is used. We do not use advertising, tracking, or third-party marketing cookies.

Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to operate. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. No consent is required to set these cookies under GDPR Recital 47 and the Australian Privacy Act 1988, as they are required to deliver the service you have requested.

Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how users interact with the platform. This data is aggregated and anonymised. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them via the cookie consent banner.

No Advertising or Third-Party Tracking

Lighthouse Intelligence does not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking. We do not share cookie data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for marketing purposes.

3. Legal Basis for Cookie Use

Essential Cookies

Legal basis: Legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) and the exemption for cookies strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user. Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, essential cookies do not constitute collection of personal information beyond what is required to deliver the service.

Analytics Cookies

Legal basis: Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). We obtain your consent via the cookie consent banner before loading Google Analytics. You may withdraw consent at any time. IP addresses collected by Google Analytics are anonymised before storage.

4. Cookie Consent Banner

On your first visit a cookie consent banner is displayed at the bottom of the screen. You may choose:

• Accept All — Essential and analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics will load.
• Essential Only — Only the lh_session and lh_csrf cookies are set. Google Analytics will not load.

Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key cookie_consent. This preference is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

5. How to Manage and Delete Cookies

Withdraw Consent

You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing the cookie_consent key from your browser's localStorage. The consent banner will reappear on your next visit.

Browser-Level Control

All modern browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies. Instructions for common browsers:

Note: deleting lh_session will log you out of the platform. Blocking essential cookies entirely will prevent login.

Google Analytics Opt-Out

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Data Retention

Analytics data collected by Google Analytics is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted by Google. Essential session cookies expire as noted in Section 2. No cookie data is sold, licensed, or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our practices. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
